Amanda Winslow

Amanda Winslow is an Education Consultant for the Department of Education with primary responsibilities in early childhood and the Shared Visions Programs. Amanda has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Iowa State University and graduate coursework in leadership from Des Moines University. She has experience as an early childhood lead teacher for two-year olds, nine years of experience working with young children with special health care needs; with seven of those nine years spent as a child care center director. For the past year Amanda worked for the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children as a T.E.A.C.H. and WAGE$ Counseling Specialist and as the Early Childhood Iowa Professional Development Program Specialist.


Amanda and her family reside in West Des Moines. Amanda and her husband have triplets that are 4-years old. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vacationing at Lake Okoboji, photography, and is always on the go with her young children.
