Latest News

On Friday, April 24th, the Governor signed into law SF135.  Effective July 1, 2015, the $750 reporting threshold has increased to $1000. In addition, the maximum amount for anonymous contributions has increased from $10 to $25. 
** Please note that some older documents/advisory opinions will contain the old language until modified. 


Upcoming Campaign Finance Training

The Ethics Board is pleased to announce it is hosting a series of campaign finance seminars around the state in the month of July.  Training will target county central commitee officers in the mornings and city and school board candidates in the afternoons.  The purpose is to help understand Iowa's campaign finance laws as well as the Board's web reporting system for campaign reports.  Seminars are free and anyone may attend.  To register, or for more information, please call or email Sharon Wright at (515) 281-4028 or sharon.wright@iowa.gov
