Crime Victim Assistance Division

CVAD Programs & Services

Here are some of the programs and services the Crime Victim Assistance Division offers.

The Crime Victim Assistance Division has many services to offer. From the compensation program to the victim grant program, CVAD's main goal is to provide assistance to victims of crime. Funds for these programs come primarily from various fines and penalties assessed on state and federal criminals.

Crime Victim Compensation Program
Provides financial resources for victims of crime. It helps victims with their out-of-pocket costs from crime-related injuries.

Sexual Assault Examination Program
Pays for examinations done to gather evidence of sexual assault.

Victim Services Grant Program
Provides state and federal grants to programs that provide advocacy and counseling to crime victims.

Iowa Crisis Response Team: look at information regarding the purpose of the Iowa Crisis Response Team and how the team can assist a community in crisis.

CVAD Publications: look through publications and brochures that deal with crime victims.

Board Members: current listing of the members of the Crime Victim Assistance Board.
