State is Seeking Timothy Grove to face Ft. Dodge Murder Charge

Prosecutors ask for public's help in locating defendant.

Ft. Dodge. State prosecutors are asking for the public's help in locating Timothy Grove, who was charged last month in Webster County with one count of first-degree murder. The Attorney General's Office is handling the case at the request of the Webster County Attorney.

Persons with any information about the whereabouts of Timothy Grove should contact the Ft. Dodge Police Department at 515-573-2323, or Webster County Crime Stoppers at 515-573-1444.

Grove's last known address was at Canton, South Dakota, close to the Iowa border and near Sioux Falls (1100 East Elder St., Apt. 2, Canton SD.) Grove is 22 years old (DOB 10-19-79.)

The murder charge was filed March 21 at Webster County District Court in Ft. Dodge. District Court Judge Alan Goode issued a warrant for Grove's arrest. The warrant is active nationwide.

Charges were filed in connection with an alleged homicide that resulted from incidents that occurred in Ft. Dodge on May 22, 1999. The victim was Joshua Darby, who died on October 17, 1999, from blunt force trauma from a large rock.

Grove also was charged with Class C felony Terrorism for unlawfully throwing "a dangerous weapon into a vehicle with the intent to injure, provoke fear or anger in another."
