Des Moines-- Attorney General Tom Miller has appointed Dennis Johnson of Des Moines to be Solicitor General of Iowa. The Solicitor General serves as chief legal advisor to the Attorney General.

"I am elated that Dennis is joining the Attorney General's Office," Miller said. "He is an exceptional litigator and is very highly regarded in the legal community. Dennis continues a tradition of excellence and commitment to public service established by Mark Schantz and Bess Osenbaugh, two distinguished previous Solicitor Generals."
