Miller Appoints Geoff Greenwood to be Communications Director for the Attorney General’s Office

Des Moines.   Attorney General Tom Miller has appointed Geoff Greenwood to be Communications Director and public information officer for the Iowa Attorney General’s Office.  Greenwood has been a reporter for KCCI-TV in Des Moines for 22 years.

“I am elated that Geoff is joining us at the Iowa Department of Justice,” Miller said.  “Geoff brings an exceptional set of skills and experience to the office.  He is an excellent communicator, he treats people fairly, and he has a reputation for complete integrity.”

Greenwood will replace Bob Brammer, who is retiring later this month after 31 years with the Attorney General’s Office.

Greenwood will serve as spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office.  He will work with local, state and national news media, prepare news releases, coordinate the Attorney General’s web site, and oversee Consumer Advisory bulletins and other communications of the office.

“Geoff is an outstanding reporter with KCCI,” Miller said.  “He covered consumer, crime, and courts issues extensively, and he won numerous awards for excellence.  And Geoff is trusted by his viewers,” Miller said.  “We are very glad he is joining the AG’s Office.”
