The meeting was
called to order at 9:08 a.m. by Vice-Chair Dawley.
MINUTES
Motion made by
Marple, seconded by Berry, to approve the March 19, 2007 minutes after
incorporating changes. Motion carried unanimously.

SERVICE
RECOGNITION
Vice-Chair Dawley
presented Marple a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his
three years of service to the Commission.
COMMISSIONER REPORTS
Marple expressed
his appreciation for being able to serve on the Commission.
Diehl reported
Evans will be a speaker at a Mason City board meeting this month.
ASSISTANT
ATTORNEY GENERAL REPORT
Lundquist thanked
Marple for the three years dedicated service to the Commission.
STAFF REPORTS
Griffel reported
new pre-license education requirement rules will be published in the
Iowa Administrative Bulletin on April 25, 2007. The Notice of Intended
Action is now on the IREC’s website. A public hearing is scheduled for
May 23rd. She also reported on the Instructor Workshop that
will be held June 1st.
Hansen reported the
new pending lease agreement, increases the rent substantially for the
Bureau and reduces the area occupied. Hansen also expressed his thanks
to Marple for his participation on the Commission.
ELECTION OF
OFFICERS
Election of
officers was postponed to the May meeting.
PUBLIC
COMMENT
McLaughlin reported
on legislation the Association is sponsoring and legislation of interest
that they are tracking. Their National meeting is being held in May,
while the IAR’s summer meeting will be held in June.
CLOSED SESSION
Daniels moved, seconded by Berry to find
probable cause on the following cases: 07-043, 07-070, 07-077, 07-061,
07-016, 07-027, 07-038, 07-062, 07-053, A07-006 and A07-008. Motion
carried unanimously.
Berry moved,
seconded by Marple, to close the following cases: 07-064, 07-069,
07-025, 07-059, 07-060 and 07-071. Motion carried unanimously.
Marple moved,
seconded by Berry, to issue license in Case 07-090. Motion carried
unanimously.
Daniels moved, seconded by Marple to
accept signed settlements and/or consent agreements for cases A07-003,
07-018, 07-019, 07-022, 07-039 and 07-030. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion made by
Marple, seconded by Berry, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
