POWER FUND PROJECTS HELP PILOT IOWA'S ENERGY FUTURE
Since its creation, the Iowa Power Fund has invested more than $71.6 million directly in 50 competitive projects, leveraging over $604 million in energy research, development, early stage commercialization and education. In Emmetsburg, Power Fund dollars are helping grow Iowa's biofuels economy with POET Project Liberty, the "bolt-on" transformation of a traditional ethanol biorefinery into an integrated corn-to-ethanol, cellulose-to-ethanol biorefinery.

At Iowa State University, the Power Fund is helping develop PhotoVoltaic energy to make this technology more cost-competitive with other forms of energy and help spur economic development in the solar energy sector.
